Q: Should I use De-Icers on my concrete?
A: NEVER USE ANY SALT! Even some of the concrete safe de-icers and fertilizers can cause long term damage. Be cautious in your selection, the results can be devastating, Use sand for traction assistance if neccesary.
Sealers and Coatings
Q: Should I use sealers or coating on my concrete?
A: There are many products on the market that claim to add protection and longevity to your concrete. Able Concrete, Inc. makes no recommendations as to the benefits of these products. If you choose to apply a sealer or coating, always read the label and follow all manufacturer directions.
Landscaping
Q: Should I be concerned about doing landscaping work around my new concrete?
A: Grass growing, mulching, or other edging along the job site should be done as soon as possible to prevent erosion and backfill washout. Unfortunately, we can only backfill once and any erosion after job completion is the responsibility of the customer.
Engineered Cracking
Q: My concrete is cracking! Should I be concerned?
A: All concrete cracks! We have engineered seams in your concrete to control cracking and hopefully confine it to these areas. Regretfully, this is not a perfected science. If an unsightly crack does appear, your concrete will not fail due to added structural reinforcing.
